Coffee in little capsules.....why?

There's been a trend for a few years now for coffee machines to be made to accept coffee in little plastic capsules.

Why do you think some advertising guru came up with that idea??? Because once you've bought the machine you're tied into the company to buy their coffee forever.

Today a 250g bag of Douwe Egberts cost £2.93, a good cup takes approx. 12g of coffee, so for £2.93 you get 21 cups, price per cup 14p.

At Tesco Nescafe Dolce Gusto Espresso cost £3.26 for 16 capsulaes, 20p a cup, nearly 50% more.

But hey, in the future they can charge what they like!
